Visitors guide to the Florida Keys

Florida Keys Climate:

Temperatures in the Florida keys remain fairly consistent throughout the year with June through to August seeing highs of around 30ºC and only dropping to an average low of 19ºC in January and February. In fact the climate is so typically mild year round the Florida Keys are one of the only places in North America to never have recorded a ground Frost.

The Florida Keys being a Tropical Savanna climate can suffer heavy down pours and during the summer season monthly averages of over 100mm’s of rain are seen. Rain storms as is typical with the rest of Florida are usually short and heavy in duration. We have witnessed the sky cloud over, heavens open and the sun return within the space of 30 minutes, another 10 minutes later you would never even know an inch of rain just fell. September is typically the wettest month with an average monthly rainfall of 170mm.
