Route 66 is 2451 miles long

One of the worlds most famous tourist drives and ranking high on many travelers wish list route 66 combines historic tourist sites combined with modern metropolitan cities.

Running from Santa Monica in California to Chicago Illinois the route passes through eight states and although the modern Route 66 now bypasses much of the original route, some of which is now designated a scenic highway, the new roads and never to far away from a visit on the original trail.
